HBT Middle School 8th Grade CTE Students Host Passion Project Expo

On Wednesday, June 3rd, HBT Middle School’s cafeteria was buzzing as 8th grade CTE students hosted their highly anticipated Passion Project Expo.

For the past several weeks, students in Ms. deLauzon’s and Ms. Jacobson’s classes have been hard at work, diving deep into topics they are genuinely excited about. They took full ownership of the process—brainstorming ideas, troubleshooting challenges, and bringing their concepts to life.

The expo floor was packed with energy as students proudly showed off the results of their hard work. The variety of projects was incredible, spanning everything from tech and engineering to creative design. Visitors were treated to a room full of young innovators who were genuinely excited to demo their prototypes, pitch their ideas, and talk about what they learned.

It was an awesome day that highlighted not just our students' creativity, but the dedication and real-world skills they brought to the table. Thank you to everyone who came out to support them!
